Through an agency, worked in the electrical physical integration department where I was responsible for routing the physical harness bundles in the digital mock up. Usage of the full suite of CATIA Electrical modules: Electrical Library (ELB) for defining electrical components and mechanical supports Electrical Harness Installation (EHI) for laying the physical geometry of the harness bundles Electrical Wire Routing (EWR) for incorporating the logical meta-data into the CATIA harness Electrical Harness Flattening (EHF) to flatten the harnesses for 2d technical drawing creation Use of ENOVIA VPM V4 (3d com Windows client) for day-to-day working: part/article creation, check-in, check-out, lifecycle states, configurations, etc... Inputting of engineering data and drawings into Metaphase PDM once engineering sub-assemblies became approved for manufacturing. Have not worked in the following below, but do have notions of these other tools that go into the harness design and development process: Captial - for schematics and block diagrams Saber - for electrical/electromechanical analysis Notions of configuration- and change management, requirements management and the importance of traceability.
