IRELAND: SW Revenue- and Cost Accountant for CEMA (Central Europe, Middle East and Africa) countries. 2005 full year revenue: USD 126.5m @ plan rate Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence with US GAAP revenue compliance program and IBM EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa) Accounting requirements Assist sales teams in pre-contract signature discussions by providing technical advice Check SW contracts in relation to revenue recognition issues and, or SOX (Sarbanes- Oxley) compliance requirements Implementation of new accounting guidances for countries under responsibility Ensure accuracy of revenue data flowing to FDW / FIW (finance systems) by posting journals / adjustments as necessary Ensure all revenue flows correctly from finance transactions systems (FIW / FDW) to the accounting ledger Preparation and submission of monthly analysis on actual monthly revenue numbers to US headquarters Preparation and submission of monthly- and quarterly reporting to the world wide regional contacts Handling of standard and ad-hoc data requests Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, also containing several intercompany ones like internal SW license fee balance sheet accounts or accounts to record deferred revenue Participation in internal business control program Point of contact for PwC in relation to audit queries Provision of support to team members and projects Key achievement: Centralization of CEMA SW Accounting role from Stuttgart to EMEA SW Accounting CoE in Dublin and of establishment thereafter
