Our client, a globally leading Life Science technology company, develops innovative systems used in laboratories worldwide. In this role, you take end-to-end technical ownership across software, electronics, mechanics, and consumables – with a strong focus on Microsoft-based development environments. You define the architecture, set technology standards, and ensure that every component of the platform integrates efficiently and compliantly.

 

✔ Location: Wiesbaden, Mainz, Schweiz oder Österreich
✔ Salary: 120,000 € p.a.
✔ Hybrid: up to 3 days home office per week
✔ Travel: occasional trips to Switzerland, Austria, and Germany
✔ Language: English (required), German (nice to have)

Aufgaben:

  • Define and lead the end-to-end system and software architecture across product lines and engineering disciplines

  • Own all technology decisions related to development infrastructure (.NET, C#, Azure, DevOps)

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build-chains, and quality frameworks within a regulated environment (ISO 13485, FDA, IVDR)

  • Develop modular, scalable platform strategies and long-term architectural roadmaps

  • Establish reference architectures, interface contracts, and design rules for reusable components

  • Guide and technically lead a team of engineers

  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and Operations to ensure alignment between architecture and business goals

  • Evaluate new technologies and drive innovation, including annual internal hackathons

  • Present architectural concepts and technology strategies to senior management

Anforderungen:

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in R&D, including software architecture and Microsoft-based environments (.NET, C#, Azure)

  • Proven experience in regulated development (medical devices, diagnostics, pharma, or comparable industries)

  • Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD automation, and software quality management

  • Hands-on leadership skills, you enjoy mentoring and guiding technical teams

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities across technical and business levels

  • Fluent English (C2) is essential; German (B2) is an advantage
